Enterprise Security & Guardrails
Which AI security and governance companies have been acquired recently? Is my vendor still independent?
At least nine AI security vendors were acquired between September 2025 and May 2026: CalypsoAI (F5), Aim Security (Cato Networks), Apex (Tenable), Prompt Security (SentinelOne, ~$180M), Lakera (Check Point, ~$300M est.), Securiti AI (Veeam), AllTrue.ai (Varonis, $150M), Acuvity (Proofpoint), and Promptfoo (OpenAI) — plus Palo Alto Networks' 2025 Protect AI acquisition, which led to LLM Guard being archived in July 2026. Seven of the ten most-cited AI security tools now belong to a mega-vendor. What to do: check your vendors' current ownership before renewal, pull each acquisition announcement to see the integration destination, and re-verify vendor-risk records (entity name, DPA, sub-processors).
